Colin Davey
I am a mentor, coach and teacher, specialising in helping people identify and reach their personal and professional goals. Through recognising your ambition and opportunities, we can work to create a targeted approach to helping you achieve. You are the driving force behind your change and together we can work towards helping identify and deliver your ambition.
A lot of my work has a strong LGBTQIA+ focus, recognising and understanding that as a community, we have specific and individual needs that can often be overlooked in a typical heteronormative approach. With an ever moving, rapidly evolving culture, it is important to me that we create spaces where people can be their authentic self and express themselves in a way most fitting with their identity. I fully believe that people thrive in authentic spaces where they feel seen and represented. All of my practice and work holds this ethos at its core.
As a qualified teacher with a performing arts background, I also focus on helping clients with social skills, reading the audience, interpersonal skills and interactions, identity, body language, conversation and signals. My teaching has covered a wide range of leaners from children to adults. I have a particular interest in voice as a performative tool and lots of my research has centered around the semiotics and signalling of LGBTQIA+ and queer voices.
