Introduction

After being diagnosed with Complex-PTSD in 2020, I decided a career-change was needed. Having endured months of incompetence by countless GPs, waiting nearly 12 months to get a psychiatric assessment by a psychiatrist, over the telephone, and only generic off-the-shelf counsellors and therapists available, I realised niche counselling was seriously lacking and urgently required.

I believe that, in order to provide honest counselling services, the counsellor must have had life-experience, over and above any qualification, in that area of specialism.

In the Western world one is judged purely on their academic qualification. There is not a qualification on earth that offers ‘real-life’ afflictions of one who is at the mercy of addiction, alcoholism, bereavement, child-abuse, domestic-violence, childhood trauma etc.

I want to shake up things a little for the greater good of the paying client. Having experienced childhood trauma, addiction and struggled with anger issues, I only focus on –

  • Addiction

  • Anger Management

  • Inner Child Healing

I am qualified and certified, at Level-3 Diploma standard, to offer therapy in these areas. I am currently working towards a Diploma in Level-4 Counselling and Physiotherapy. This means that I am qualified, on paper, to offer counselling and therapy services to paying clients. What is more, I have over 30 years of life experiences in these three areas
