Self-Care Box
When emotionally distressed, it is difficult to think of coping skills and other support methods to use in those moments.
This is where a self-care box can really help, offering stability and reassurance.
The self-care box is your special toolkit that is full of items to help you feel rejuvenated and overcome those painful mental triggers.
Miscarriage from a Man’s perspective
An estimated 1 in 4 pregnancies ends in miscarriage - unfortunately, my wife and I fall into that statistic. I had endless questions about how my wife was coping, how she was and concerned well-wishers asking after my wife. Not one person asked how I was. Not even my parents.
A Grief Self Care Box
Self-care is perhaps never more important than while grieving. Eating well, staying active and spending time with friends and family all play an important role in a person’s ability to take a healthy approach to grieving. Taking time for yourself, however, is just as critical.
A self-care box is a safe and happy place ideal for someone who is constantly having distressing thoughts and feelings, particularly suicidal after a loss.
Bereavement
Bereavement defined; time that is spent adjusting to the loss.
There is no quick fix, right/wrong way to grieve and certainly no magic formula.
Everyone grieves and deals with bereavement differently.
Introduction
After being diagnosed with Complex-PTSD in 2020, I decided a career-change was needed.
I believe that, in order to provide honest counselling services, the counsellor must have had life-experience, over and above any qualification, in that area of specialism.
